The activity was quite comprehensive and well-organized. The only thing we found unprofessional was that, at the last minute, the agency contacted us to increase the cost of picking us up in Cairo, even though I had clearly stated from the outset that my hotel was in Cairo. When we tried to cancel, it was too late because the cancellation period had already passed. The worst part was learning that other people on the tour didn't have to pay this extra fee for the pickup.

Translate this opinion into English.

In the activity description, we indicated that pickup is only available in Alexandria. This is for your information before booking. We are pleased that, despite this, we were able to offer you an alternative pickup location. Opinion translated. Show original.

My girlfriend and I took the day trip to Alexandria. We were already in Alexandria, and the group came from Cairo. They said the pickup time was at 9, but they ended up arriving at 10:30. The guide's explanations were excellent, really entertaining. The only downside is that they should add another place, for example, a Greco-Roman theater. That day we couldn't go to the library because it was a holiday. Opinion translated. Show original.

I booked the tour a month in advance and at no point was it mentioned that the library would be closed due to a holiday. I chose Monday because it was the day it doesn't close. I only found out in the van when the guide informed us about visiting two monuments and that we would have lunch and return to the hotel. I questioned about the library and the information in the reservation for other places to be visited on Friday and Saturday when it is actually closed, at that moment she included the others.

The visit to Alexandria is somewhat too short to fill a whole day, as it only includes the catacombs, the archaeological site, the fortress, the library, and the Coptic quarter. It would have been nice to have the opportunity to explore the city on foot, perhaps with a short stroll through the central district, to get a better understanding of the daily life of its inhabitants.

Saluti e grazie Pellicioli Giovanni Translate this opinion into English.

Our guide, Ayman Ismail, was very kind and explained and illustrated everything we visited. He was very knowledgeable throughout the day and was truly a pleasure to meet. I also sincerely thank our driver, Mustafa, who took us to all our scheduled visits on time and with care, and with a safe driving style. Thank you both so much for a wonderful day. The "Guided Tour of Alexandria" was very interesting & informative. The air-conditioning tour van came to pick us up outside the Alexandria Port on time.

The organizing company did very badly. They changed our pick-up time to 5:45 in the morning on the day of the excursion. They did not give the guide information on where to pick us up, nor contact numbers for us, without managing permission to pick us up at the port. Luckily, we were the ones who found the guide, but we lost more than an hour of the excursion's planned time.

The departure was initially scheduled at 08:00. The day before they told us that it would start at 10:00. In the morning at 10:30. When we showed up at the meeting point, outside the port by the way, the vehicle was not there. The guide Safa, lucky us, told us that the vehicle coming from Cairo was held up on the highway first due to fog and then a traffic jam. We started, around 12:00, with a walk through Alexandria. This lasted until we stood up

The activity was scheduled for 8am, the previous afternoon they told us that it will happen at 10am, the next morning via WhatsApp it will be delayed at 10:30am. The departure (on foot) was at 11am, since there was no bus, we walked until 12:20, the time the bus arrived. The planned 7 hours ended in 4 hours (and without food planned). The guide Safa was very good.
