Want to see Hawaii's marine wildlife up close? On this whale watching cruise in Waikiki, we'll sail along the coast of Honolulu's most famous beach in search of the whales that often swim in these waters off the island of Oahu.
Waikiki Beach is the most famous beach in Honolulu, the capital of Oahu and the state of Hawaii. It's also one of the best spots to see marine wildlife, especially large cetaceans. Ready to see whales in their natural habitat? We'll meet at the designated time at Honolulu Harbor, where a comfortable catamaran will be waiting for us.
Once we're settled on board, we'll set off on a relaxing boat ride along the Waikiki coast and its surroundings, keeping an eye out for whales in their natural habitat. Get your cameras ready! During winter season, from December to March, humpback whales migrate to these waters off Oahu, making it one of the best spots in the Hawaiian Islands to see them.
During the cruise, we'll try to spot these massive marine animals from a safe distance, always respecting their space. Along the way, we'll also share fun facts and stories about these mammals, without a doubt some of the most fascinating in the North Pacific.
We might also spot dolphins and other marine animals along the way. Throughout this boat ride along the Waikiki coast, we'll also take in views of the Honolulu coastline from the catamaran and pass by Diamond Head, a volcano located south of Oahu.
Finally, after a cruise of between 1.5 and 2 hours, we'll wrap up this Waikiki boat tour back at the dock in Honolulu Harbor.
The Waikiki coast is one of the best spots along Honolulu's shoreline to see whales, dolphins, and other cetaceans around Oahu. That said, wildlife is unpredictable. How many animals you see will depend on several factors, such as the weather on the day or the breeding and calving seasons of different species.
