Benfica stadium, also known as Da Luz Stadium, is one of the great football temples of Lisbon. On this self-guided tour, you'll discover, at your own pace, the history of the club and visit its museum.

Tour Details

You'll enter through Gate 17, located right behind the famous statue of soccer player Eusébio da Silva Ferreira, to begin this tour of Benfica Stadium. Once inside, you can scan the QR codes placed along the route at key points throughout the venue. This will provide you with all the historical details of the visit, and if you have any questions, the stadium staff will be happy to assist you.

You’ll begin this self-guided tour by heading up to the first floor. There, you’ll see various models illustrating the evolution from the old stadium to the modern Benfica stadium, one of Lisbon’s most successful clubs and the team with the most league titles in Portugal.

You’ll continue your tour of the Da Luz Stadium by exploring its most exclusive areas: the Sagres Stand, the NX Lounge, the locker rooms, the Eagle Room, and the press room.

Plus, you’ll walk through the tunnel leading to the field to feel the same adrenaline rush that soccer players experience before stepping onto the field. You’ll discover which soccer legends have graced the field of this legendary stadium while enjoying the tour at your own pace. You set the pace!

Benfica Cosme Damião Museum Visit

If you’d like, you can round out your experience by adding a visit to the Benfica Cosme Damião Museum. During this tour, which usually lasts about 1.5 hours, you’ll admire the club’s trophies, including the two European Cups won in 1961 and 1962.

Throughout the exhibition, you’ll see Benfica’s historic jerseys, as well as balls, trophies, and iconic artifacts that trace the Lisbon team’s history.

Museum Tour

The museum tour is also self-guided. However, during your visit, you’ll find exhibition staff on hand to answer your questions in both English and Portuguese.

You can visit the exhibition during its regular opening hours, tailoring your visit to your travel plans.
