If you're in Rome and want to escape from the hustle and bustle of the big city, join us on this kayak tour on Lake Albano. You'll fall in love with the nature surrounding Castel Gandolfo!
At the indicated time we'll meet at the Anagnina metro stop in Rome to begin an excursion that will take us to Castel Gandolfo, where we'll do a kayak tour of Lake Albano. Are you ready to paddle in its turquoise waters?
After a road trip of about 20 kilometres (12 miles), we'll reach the nearby Albano Lake, a place where you can feel at total peace! After a quick paddling lesson, we'll get into the kayaks to start the tour.
We'll follow the guide and make several stops along the lake. We'll pass the Roman port of Domitian's Villa, the Pope's trampoline and a beautiful beach that can only be reached by kayak. Who's up for a dip?
During the tour we'll also see the famous Summer residence of the Pope, on the top of the mountain of Castel Gandolfo, surrounded by greenery. While we're there we'll tell you numerous anecdotes and stories related to Lake Albano. At the end of the kayak tour, and before returning to the capital, you'll have time to shower and change.
After 2.5 hours in this beautiful location, we'll drop you back at the meeting point in Rome. See you soon!
